The Australian Government: Department of Industry, Innovation and Science (DIIS) has announced it will develop a national Digital Economy Strategy, focusing on the ways governments, business and the community can adjust to seize the benefits of digital transformation.

The ‘digital economy’ is not separate to the economy. It impacts all industries and business types, and influences the way we interact with each other every day. In our region this means small business, manufacturing, agriculture, community services, our creative industry and broader community.

DIIS has released a consultation paper to start a conversation about what Australia’s Digital Economy Strategy should look like. You can access and download the consultation paper, and make a submission, from the Australian Government’s DIIS website.

RDA Northern Rivers, as a respected voice of the Northern Rivers community, is preparing a submission for this consultation. As part of this process we are seeking input from our business, industry and community sectors. If you would like your voice to be included in our submission please download the consultation paper and send your responses to input@rdanorthernrivers.org.au
