supports the Northern Rivers Regional Plan 2013-2016
. It presents a myriad data on our population, income, employment, housing, health, transport, business and industry, the regional economy, energy, infrastructure, the environment and our natural and cultural heritage. Many of the tables and charts compare the Northern Rivers to the rest of New South Wales and in some cases, other regions in Australia.
The Northern Rivers Regional Profile 2011 Update is also available to download from the bottom of this page. Although where available we have included trend data from past ABS Census files, the 2009 edition provides a good snapshot for comparison on some subjects.
Regional Data Sets
For the first time, RDA-NR is making available the full data sets that underpin the information presented in the regional plan and profile. Most of the data in The Northern Rivers Regional Data Sets are taken from the Australian Bureau of Statistics and other government sources. This excel workbook has two separate indexes — ‘Regional Profile’ and ‘Social Profile’ and is an invaluable resource for those needing detailed information to plan and provide businesses and services in the region.
