October is Small Business Month and the NSW Government is supporting events in locations across the state and online.
In the Northern Rivers free workshops and events are being held in Lismore, Kyogle, Ballina and Byron Bay.

Kyogle Council and Lismore City Council have partnered to deliver a program of activities for Small Business Month with expert business consultants Lilly Choi-Lee and Trevor Lee of TravConsult. Lightbulb moments will provide valuable insights into the opportunities for tourism, retail and lifestyle businesses to embrace change in order to grow their markets, collaborate effectively and improve customer experiences.

Small Business Expo – 8am to 11:30am in Ballina Wednesday 17 October 2018
An intensive expo for startups, entrepreneurs and small business in the Northern Rivers. A great opportunity to connect to local successful entrepreneurs along with business, marketing & digital experts. Hear their experiences both positive & negative to help you make a start on your journey. During the workshop you will learn the basics of the ‘Startup Economy’ and the steps involved to form an ‘ideas’ pitch.
Growing your business globally – 7:30am at the Byron Community Centre, Tuesday 30 October 2018
Presented by Australia Post this workshop will be jam-packed with advice to help make your global business journey easier. Registrations and breakfast/coffee will be served from 7:30am. The session will commence at 8am and run for approximately 90 minutes.
