The North Coast Regional Plan 2041 sets a 20-year strategic land use planning framework for the region, aiming to protect and enhance the region’s assets and plan for a sustainable future.
As a 20-year plan, it applies to the Local Government Areas (LGAs) of Ballina, Bellingen, Byron, Clarence Valley, Coffs Harbour, Kempsey, Kyogle, Lismore, Nambucca, Port MacquarieHastings, Richmond Valley and Tweed.
The North Coast Regional Plan 2041 represents a five-year review of the region’s strategic planning settings and considers some of the key land use challenges and opportunities over the last five years and moving forward. It covers all facets of land use planning, including employment areas, town centres, housing and related infrastructure, the natural environment and hazards.
