Jobs Northern Rivers is set to increase vacancies advertised and showcase employers in our region.
Regional Development Australia Northern Rivers, in partnership with Training Services NSW, Healthy North Coast and Northern Rivers Reconstruction Corporation, are excited to announce the next stage of the regional jobs platform development. With a new technology provider onboard, the platform will see an increased number of job vacancies due to an active jobs feed from our region. RDA Northern Rivers recently presented the upgraded platform progress at the Northern Rivers Reconstruction Conference where it was well-received by employers and service providers who are keen to be part of the next phase.
FOR EMPLOYERS
The improved functionality for employers on the new platform will include a chance to showcase their business on a dedicated page. This is a free service and will build a directory of businesses in the region who employ staff. The page will promote the businesses key offerings, job opportunities and provide contact details for jobsekers who are researching local employers. Employers who register onto the platform will also have the capability to search Jobseeker resumes (known as AirCVs) and create a talent pool shortlist of potential candidates to reach out to. If you’d like to be one of the first employers to have a showcase Employer Profile, please register your interest.
FOR JOBSEEKERS
Jobseekers in the region can view jobs on the website without having to register – however registration is as simple as using a Google, Facebook or Apple ID to login. Once a jobseeker is registered, they can upload a resume. This will be converted to a searchable CV in the system, giving them visibility to employers in our region. Jobseekers can also use the platform to shortlist jobs they are interested in and research employers. With an improved jobs feed, jobseekers have a much wider range of jobs opportunities to explore and pursue in their journey towards a new job in the Northern Rivers. LIVE NORTHERN RIVERS
Most employers trying to recruit would be aware that there is a shortage of jobseekers at the moment. This raises the question of “how do we attract additional jobseekers to consider working for employers in our region?”. The answer that we have to this issue is to provide a resource for those who are considering relocation from outside the region. This is often about speaking to those who have left the region, those who have seen a job in the region and want to know what life is like here, and those who are exploring the idea of regional move. Keep an eye out for more announcements about our upcoming liveability platform Live Northern Rivers.
WHAT’S NEXT?
The current timeline for the first phase release of the jobs platform will be by the end of May 2023. To stay in touch with progress, get involved and be informed of the launch date, please register your interest here.
