The 2018 Australian Regional Development Conference is being held in Tweed Heads on Monday 17 and Tuesday 18 September 2018.
This annual conference will provide a platform to network and be part of the conversation on the learnings, solutions and challenges that regional and rural towns experience. The conference theme is Uncovering Regional Possibilities with the aim to encourage out of the box thinking and to learn from passionate advocates about the great things that are being done to develop sustainable communities.
The conference organisers are receiving abstracts from potential presenters on the conference theme covering the topics of government policy impact, land water and energy, connecting regional Australia, regional liveability, community, regional disruption and attracting business, and corporate and small business opportunity. Abstract submissions close 1 June 2018.
The 2018 Regional Development Innovation Awards are open for nominations, with winners and runners up being announced at the Conference Networking Function on Monday 17 September.
