The NSW Government has announced it is allocating $1.7 million to the Byron Shire to fund community infrastructure projects that will improve the quality of life for residents.
Jodi Frawley, Byron Shire Council’s Grants Coordinator, said the money was available from the NSW Government’s Stronger Country Communities Fund and is exciting news for groups who are prepared to make an application.
Workshops are being held on Friday 6 April 2018: 10am – 12pm, and Monday 9 April 2018: 5.30pm – 7pm at Byron Shire Council’s Chambers in Mullumbimby, to assist community groups with the grant writing and application process.
The NSW Government’s Stronger Country Communities Fund supports projects worth more than $50,000 that deliver local infrastructure or sporting facilities. Byron Shire Community groups are invited to submit their projects which will be displayed on Your Say Byron Shire.
Residents are encouraged to view submissions and vote for their favourite or the most worthwhile project.
Submissions close 30 April 2018.
