Almost 100 attended the 2011 North Coast Energy Forum which was held at the Mullumbimby Civic Centre on 3 June 2011.
The aim of the Forum was to increase the awareness of government, industry and community groups of the national, state and regional energy trends; to share ideas about how the North Coast might be more energy self-sufficient, and able to reduce the greenhouse impacts of regional energy needs by:
- reducing consumption;
- increasing efficiency:
- increasing renewables; and
- offsetting the remainder.
The forum was organised by a group of community members and not-for-profit organizations.
