In 2016 RDA Northern Rivers identified the need for a strategy to improve the efficiency of freight movements across the region. Such a strategy would assist local industry and other stakeholders improve the economic potential of the region.
Researchers from Southern Cross University were engaged in 2016 to produce a scoping study to determine the methodology and process for a study on the freight network and supply chain requirements of the NSW Northern Rivers.
